James William Craig

Mr. James William "Bud" Craig, 71, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015, at Carolinas Healthcare System - NorthEast in Concord.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, October 9, 2015, at Charity Baptist Church. Rev. Marty Payton will officiate.

At other times, the family will be at their home.

Mr. Craig was born February 7, 1944 in Huntington, WV. He was a son of the late William Irvin Craig and Ada Irene Frye Craig. He worked for T.G. Stegall Trucking Company as a truck driver. Bud enjoyed NASCAR racing, and was an avid Kyle Busch fan. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Basenback; and one sister, Minnie Basenback.

Mr. Craig is survived by his wife, Delsie Craig; two daughters, Kathy Dean, of Huntington, WV, Crystal Mullis, of Kannapolis; two sons, James Craig and wife Lisa of Boomer, NC; Triston Craig and wife Brenda of Kannapolis; one two brothers, Earl Basenback, and Leslie Basenback, both of WV; two sisters, Joyce Arthur and Helen Collins, both of WV; and five grandchildren, Taylor Craig, Jessica Craig, Ashley Craig, Jaxson Craig, and Brandon Mullis.

Memorial donations may be made to Lady’s Funeral Home & Crematory, 268 N. Cannon Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083, to assist the family with memorial expenses.
