James Robert Garwood

James Robert Garwood, 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 27th, 2015 at his residence.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor David Leaven will officiate.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1 to 1:45 pm at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Garwood was born October 26, 1941 in Rowan County where he was also raised. James was employed by the Rowan Vocational Workshop which later changed to Rowan Vocational Opportunities for over 43 years.

Left to cherish his memory is his Godly sisters, Janie Mattison, Brenda Rooney, Annie Vanhoy and Donna Jarvitz; his Godly brothers, Scottie Leffler and Cedric Drye, all of the home. He also leaves memories with peers and staff of Cabarrus County Group Homes.
