James Patrick Henry

Mr. James “Jim” Patrick Henry, Jr., 49, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at his residence.

A prayer service to celebrate his life will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at a later date.

Mr. Henry was born February 23, 1967 in Bay Shore, NY. He was the son of James Patrick Henry and Carol Ann Carrion Henry of Matthews. Jim graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School West in Dix Hills, NY. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked many years in security, but what he loved most was his years spent as a Volunteer Fireman for the Dix Hills Fire Dept. Jim had a heart of gold, and his compassion for others was limitless. He had a great sense of humor, and he will be missed dearly. Jim was a long time and avid NY Yankee fan, and eventually Carolina Panthers fan.

Mr. Henry, in addition to his parents, is survived by the love of his life, fiancée Alice Leurain Linker; son, Trey and wife Nicole and their children Jayden and MacKenzie; daughter, Jordan and husband Cory and their children Brooklyn and Jase; sister, Arlene Auger and husband Herbert and their children Ryan and Andrew; brother, David Henry and wife Lisa and their children Brooke, Rilee and Olivia.
