Mr. James Edgar "Uncle Jimmy" Williams, 55, of 4257 Barrier Road, Concord, died Friday, February 9, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James Pauley will officiate. Interment will follow at West Bend United Methodist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Born September 5, 1951, in Randolph County, he was the son of the late Glenn Raymond Williams and Mary Wade Davidson Williams. He was raised by the late Lily Honeycutt Brown and Bill Honeycutt. He was a graduate of A. L. Brown High School in Kannapolis and attended the University of Utah. He was employed with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture in Salisbury. Survivors include two sisters, Mattie Williams York and Minerva Williams York, both of Asheboro; three brothers, Nathan Williams of Ramseur, Glenn Raymond Williams II and William Howard Williams, both of Asheboro; an aunt, Vivian Moses of Alabama; four nieces, Sheila Hurley, Crystal Luck, and Angela Miller, all of Asheboro, Rosa Cervantes of Troy; three nephews, Glenn R. Williams III and Grady Raymond York, both of Asheboro, James York of Robbins; seven great-nieces, Laura Denise Williams, Buranda Craven, Erica Miller, Allison Roberts, Alisha Kearns, Leann Luck, all of Asheboro, and Samantha York, of Robbins; six great-nephews, Cody Hurley, Burit Doyle Craven III, Bryce DeShawn Jennings, Chris Luck and Daniel Shoffner, all of Asheboro, and Ethan Alexander Craven of Troy; and a great-great-niece, Jewelya Minerva Roberts of Asheboro.
