James Boyd Woodward

Mr. James Boyd Woodward, our beloved father, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 19, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Tommy Wensil will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the home of a daughter, Pamela Leigh, 106 Westover Avenue, Kannapolis. Born June 29, 1935, in Ruby, SC, he was the son of the late Lonnie Newton Woodward and Eddie Lee Lewis Woodward. Mr. Woodward loved the outdoors, fishing and camping. He also loved music and to sing. He was a very loving and gentle man. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Woodward. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Leigh and husband, Jeff, of Kannapolis, three sons, Jeff Woodward of Kannapolis, Joel Woodward and wife, Jan, of Weddington and Randy Woodward and wife, Cassandra, of Mooresville; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Herman Woodward and wife, Becky, of Kannapolis; and three sisters, Frances Duvall and husband Larry and Mavis Graham, both of Kannapolis, and Minnie Lee Woodward of Pageland, SC.
