Jane Yelton (Edwards)

Jane Edwards Yelton, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at St. Andrews Living Center.

A graveside service will be held for family and friends at 1:15 pm Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday following the graveside service at Central United Methodist Church. Dr. Andy Langford will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Born on July 13, 1926 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Garrett Monroe Edwards and Georgia Sparks Edwards. Mrs. Yelton retired from Sunrise Apparel. She was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Yelton.

Mrs. Yelton is survived by two sons, John E. Yelton and wife Susan of Concord and Gary E. Yelton and wife Leigh of Salisbury; and two grandchildren, Emily W. Yelton and Garrett R. Yelton.
