Mrs. Jane Hethcock Miller, 79, beloved wife of Dale Miller, peacefully went to meet her Lord, Saturday, August 22, 2009. She began her heavenly journey while visiting her son in Asheville. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at First Baptist Church, 101 N. Main Street, Kannapolis. Dr. Tom Cabaniss and Dr. Harold Bales will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church. At other times, they will be at the home, 403 N. Cannon Blvd., Kannapolis. Born February 17, 1930 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Fulton Leroy Hethcock and Nell Furr Hethcock. Jane worked for 25 years for the Kannapolis Water and Sewer Department, where she was a clerk. She was also employed with Virginia's Dress Shop until 2007, where she assisted her daughter, Melanie with buying merchandise, creating beautiful florals and displays. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught the Children's Sunday school class for several years. She also attended Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Dale Martin Miller; two daughters, Debbie Ketchum and husband John of Charlotte, Melanie Keziah and husband Ricky of Kannapolis; two sons, Robert Davis of Kannapolis, Michael Davis of Asheville; two sisters, Audrey Hethcock and Dorothy Goodson, both of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Tricia Tuttle, Matthew Ketchum, Deana Keziah Petty, Christopher Keziah, Brittany Davis and Brian Davis; two great-grandchildren, Chet and Lois; a stepdaughter, Ellen Miller Payne and husband David of China Grove; three stepsons, Ron Miller and wife Jan of Springfield, MO, Tony Miller and wife Susan of Charlotte, Scott Miller and wife Davina of Concord; six step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Eddie C. Davis. God bless Amy and all the Hospice team. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, 101 N.
