Janie Burke Brock

Mrs. Janie Burke Brock, 47, of Kannapolis, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at her home. A memorial services for Mrs. Brock will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Brock was born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, on Dec. 11, 1959, a daughter of Edna L. Moss McKersie and the late Brian L. Burke. Survivors include her husband, Walter Donald Brock Jr.; sons Derek Chmiel, of Kannapolis, Chester Jerry Chmiel of Ontario; mother, Edna L. Moss Burke of Canada; stepdaughters Crystal Brock and Cassandra Brock, both of Ontario; sisters Michelle Misiuda, Carol Nadalin and Nola Burke and brother John Burke, all of Canada; grandchildren Terra MacGregor, Madison and Julianna Chmiel; and her stepmother, Lois Burke of Canada.
