Jean Christensen Abel

Mrs. Jean Christensen Abel, 73, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5:00 pm on Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Abel was born July 21, 1944 in Detroit, MI. She was a daughter of the late Carl H. Christensen and Golda Knox Christensen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Abel; her twin sister, Joan Colby and her brother, Carl H. Christensen; .

Mrs. Abel is survived by three sons, Darin Scott Abel and wife Liz and Fred Monroe Dean, all of Concord and Richard Dean of Salt Lake City; and a daughter, R. Hope Dean of Kannapolis; and five grandchildren, David Dean, Bronson Dean, Morgan Dean, Madelyn Colby Palko and Jacob Abel.
