Ms. Jean Phyllis Jackson Smith, 83, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Jean was born July 1, 1943 in Spencer. She was a daughter of the late William Eli Jackson and Thelma Louise Monroe Jackson. She was a Community Service Program Manager, working with the YMCA Senior Center and Lunch Plus, at various locations. She enjoyed yoga, working with various crafts, and loved watching TV with her canine companion, Baby Girl.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Nancy Jackson Kaye; and brother, Jimmy Jackson.

Jean is survived by son, Robert "Bob" Williams of Kannapolis; and two grandchildren, Allison Rebecca Williams and Kristen Elizabeth Cameron.
