Jean Stacia Sledz

Mrs. Jean Stacia Grabowski Sledz, 86, formerly of Beacon Falls, CT died Tuesday, September 15th, at Avante of Concord in NC.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Saturday, September 19 at Lady’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis, NC. Rev. Mr. Myles Decker will officiate.

Mrs. Sledz was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Thaddeus J. Sledz of Kannapolis, NC (also formerly of Beacon Falls, CT); her parents, Mr and Mrs. Joseph Grabowski of Stamford, CT; and her five older brothers, Walter, Joseph, Stanley, John, and Leo Grabowski.

She is survived by her son, Richard S. Sledz and daughter in law, Becky of Kannapolis; 2 daughters Laura J. Schakenbach and husband, James, of Jefferson, MA and Debra A. Breski and husband, William, of Southington, CT; 6 grandchildren, Lindsay, Samantha, Evan, Elizabeth, Ariel, and Ricky; 2 great grandchildren, Kaylee and Avery; and many nieces and nephews.
