Jeffery Scott Thompson

Mr. Jeffery Scott "Scooter" Thompson, 19, of 2119 Joe Street, Kannapolis, died Monday, March 3, 2003. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2003, at Concord Lake Baptist Church. Rev. Ralph Hager will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at residence on Joe Street. Mr. Thompson was born December 3, 1983 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Wayne H. Thompson, Jr. and Tamara Webster Little, both of Gold Hill, NC He graduated from A.L. Brown High School in 2002 and was employed as a brick mason's helpher. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Peggy Webster. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson is survived by his sister, Kelli Jo Little of Concord; brother, Wayne H. "Buck" Thompson, III, and his fiancee, Rachael Smith, of Kannpolis; maternal grandfather, Ernest Webster of Kannapolis; paternal grandparents, Richard and Linda Barnhardt of Kannapolis; and a very special cousin, Kendra M. Thompson, and a host of relatives and friends. Pallbearers for the funeral service will be, Ricky Wayne Barnhardt, Carl Adkins, Tyler Adkins, Braxton Smith, Chris Hager, Travis Justice and a honorary pallbearer, Wayne H. "Buck" Thompson.
