Jennifer Anne Heggen

Miss Jennifer Anne Heggen, 35, of Kannapolis, died unexpectedly Monday, July 23, 2007, at her residence. Ms. Heggen was a 1990 graduate of South Rowan High School and a 1992 graduate of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College where she earned her degree in nursing. Jennifer had been employed with the American Red Cross as well as various hospitals in the area. An avid horse fanatic with a love for Boxers, Jennifer devoted her time and efforts evenly between the two. Born March 20, 1972 in New Rochelle, NY, Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Barbara Heggen of Landis; her paternal grandparents, Theodore and Frieda Heggen, Sr. of New Rochelle, NY; and maternal grandparents, Bruce and Rita Wood formerly of Monroe. She is survived by her brother and his fianc e Bruce Charles Heggen and Donna D. Cox of Kannapolis; also by her beloved dogs, Mattison, Annie, and Uma. In addition, by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers or cards, it is requested that donations be made to the Boxer Rescue Foundation, The Humane Society, or to a horse rescue foundation of your choice. Interment services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at 2 p.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
