Jerald Craven Riggs

Mr. Jerald Craven Riggs, 74, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Posey will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm, Thursday prior to the service.
Mr. Riggs was born on April 2, 1938 in Mecklenburg County. He was the son of the late Guy Montgomery Riggs and Fannie Jones Riggs.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Riggs was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Addie Benson Riggs of Concord; four sons, Gerald Riggs of Swansboro, Dennis Riggs of Concord, Charles Riggs of Albemarle, and John Riggs of Concord; brother, Richard "Buddy" Riggs of Asheboro; sister, Brenda Raven of Charlotte; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.
