Jerry Carson Allen

Mr. Jerry Carson Allen, 66, of 902 McKnight Street, Kannapolis, died Sunday, August 3, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Curtis Parker will officiate. Interment with military rites will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. At other times, they will be at the home. Born April 21, 1942 in Chesterfield County, SC, Jerry was the son of the late William Carson Allen and Olay Hunter Allen. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. For many years, Jerry owned and operated a burglar and fire alarm business. He later worked for Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bostic Allen; son, Rodney Allen and wife, Tasha, of Mooresville; three step-daughters, Lisa Dixon, Denise Dixon and Dana Harrell, all of Kannapolis; two sisters, Melba Roscoe and husband, Billy, of Hartsville, SC and Ruby Nehus and husband, John, of Florence, SC; two grandchildren, Devin and Ashlyn Allen; and five step-grandchildren, Aiden Navarrete, Michael Olquin, Alex Harrell, Jenna and Brett Hilton.
