Jerry Wayne Daniel, Sr.

Jerry Wayne Daniel, Sr., 61, of 2506 Joyce Street, Kannapolis, died Monday, September 16, 2002, at the W. G. "Bill" Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. A graveside service will be conducted at 12 Noon Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 AM Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at their respective homes. Mr. Daniel was born April 11, 1941, in Rowan County. He was a son of Myrtice Holshouser Daniel of Kannapolis and the late Granval Daniel. He was an automobile mechanic and worked most of his career at Sam Johnson Lincoln Mercury and Young Ford in Charlotte. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a beloved son, Jerry Wayne Daniel, Sr., in 1991. Mr. Daniel is survived by his mother, Myrtice Holshouser Daniel of Kannapolis; two daughters, Terri Weaver of Montpelier, VA, Patti Ketchie of Kannapolis; three sisters, Daphne Coe and Barbara Morgan, both of Kannapolis, Julie Daniel of Raleigh; and four grandchildren, Andrew Ketchie, Philip Ketchie, Katie Weaver and Kendalle Weaver.
