Jesse Lee Davis

Mr. Jesse Lee Davis, 60, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, September 27, 2015, at South China Grove Church of God. Rev. Mike Oney will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis was born April 28, 1955 in Graham, NC. He was a son of the late John Britt Davis and Mary Ellen Eastern Davis. He worked for Rusher’s Tires in Salisbury and most recently worked for Brother’s Tire in Kannapolis for many years. He was a member of South China Grove Church of God and loved and cared for his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, Jesse is preceded in death by a brother, Evan Davis and a grandson, Zachary Clifton Horne.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Vonnie Williams Davis; two daughters, Michelle Horne and husband Richard of Salisbury and Jessica Griffin and husband James of China Grove; three sisters, Louise Davis and Elsie Flowers, both of Hartsville, SC and Peggy Davis of Charlotte; brother, Billy Davis of Asheboro; three grandchildren, Andrew Horne, Hunter Griffin and Starla Griffin; sister-in-law, Shirley Wallace of Kannapolis; special friend of the family, Stephanie Sifuentes of Mt. Airy; and a number of nieces and nephews.
