Mr. Jesse Joel Robinson, Sr., 73, of 2000 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, died Friday, September 5, 2003, at W.G. Hefner Medical Center in Salisbury. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 AM Monday, September 8, 2003, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Monday at the W.G. Hefner V.A. National Cemetery in Salisbury. The Rowan Veterans Council will perform military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mr. Robinson. Mr. Robinson was born January 29, 1930 in Farmville, VA. He was a son of the late Guy Robinson and Caroline Fox Robinson. He was a retired insurance representative and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Savannah, GA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V. Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Jeanette Kennedy Robinson; daughter, Patricia Russell of the home; two sons, Clyde Myers Robinson and his wife, Terri, of Savannah, GA and Jesse Joel Robinson, Jr., and his wife, Robin, of Kannapolis; two sisters, Ruth Cauble of Richmond, VA and Alice Able of Florida; brother, David Robinson of Woodbridge, VA; five grandchildren, Justin Russell, Ryan Russell, Jennifer Wilson, Kristin Robinson, and Chlo Robinson; one great grandchild, Kailey Russell.
