Jessie Mae Shaw Robinson

Jessie Mae Shaw Robinson, 93, of Deer Run Avenue, Georgetown, and formerly of Kannapolis, died Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2008, at Charity Baptist Church, Kannapolis. Dr. R. J. Hammond will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home. Born September 7, 1915 in Lando, SC, she was the daughter of the late J. R. Shaw and Jennie Mae McKenzie Shaw. She was a homemaker and previously worked at Cannon Mills. She attended Fireside Ministries in Georgetown, SC and Charity Baptist Church in Kannapolis. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Venable and husband Ron of Apple Valley, CA, Patricia Fullam and husband Carol of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Marcy Walters of Kannapolis; two sons, Neil Porter and wife Virginia, Robert Porter and wife Linda, all of Georgetown; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
