Jewel Daniel Campbell

Mrs. Jewel Daniel Campbell, 87, formerly of East 23rd Stret, Kannapolis, died Monday, December 22, 2008, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Barnhill will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Campbell was born August 24, 1921 in Comer, Georgia. She was a daughter of the late Toombs Russell Daniel and Evie Dalerea Carithers Daniel. She retired from the sewing room of Cannon Mills Plant #1. She was a member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Campbell, who died February 1985; four sisters, Margaret Daniel, Lucille Allen, Kathleen Daniel and Hazel Reynolds; two brothers, Granval Daniel and William Daniel; and a great-great grandson, Stephen Montgomery Black. Mrs. Campbell is survived by daughter, Linda Kay Moose of China Grove; son, Curtis Campbell of Kannapolis; sister, Ruth Fortson of China Grove; two brothers, Jay Daniel of Spring Hill, FL and brother, Mauldin Daniel of Kannapolis; seven grandchildren, Penny Black Sarno, Charlene Tutterow, Lisa Perry, Sherry Sepers, Todd Campbell, Jonathon Campbell, Skylea BreNae Campbell; nine great grandchildren, Bryan Black, Jr., Brandi Perry, Curtis Perry, Madison Perry, Zachary Tutterow, Anthony Sepers, Dylan Campbell, Tyler Campbell, and Patrick Campbell; one great-great granddaughter, Danyelle Nicole Black.
