Joanna Hallman Myers

Mrs. Joanna H. Myers, 77, of 1352 Yorkshire Place NW, Concord, died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at NorthEast Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Bethpage Presbyterian Church Kannapolis. Dr. Steve Mowery will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethpage Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for an hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Mrs. Myers was born in Kannapolis on June 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Paul B. Hallman and Mildred Boggs Hallman. She retired from Belk Store Services in Charlotte where she was a bookkeeper. She was a member of Bethpage Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a her husband, Isaac Dean Myers, Sr., who died in March 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Paula Jo Myers of Concord; two sons, Isaac Dean Myers, Jr. of Gastonia and Dirk R. Myers of Concord; a sister, Jackie Hallman Browning of Kannapolis; 12 grandchildren, Russell Myers, Kristin A. Smith, Laura E. Parks, Dirk R. Myers II, Zachary L. Myers, Johnathon A. Hartsell, Marissa Myers, Joshua Hartsell, Jesse Myers, Crystal L. Valdez, Jennifer A. Chemel and Katherine M. Chemel; and seven great-grandchildren.
