Joe Wayne Earley

Joe Wayne Earley, 84, of Landis passed away on March 17, 2021.

A native of Kannapolis, he was born November 16, 1936, a son of the lateCharlie and Emma Bell Dayvault Earley. Joe managed the gun club at Rowan County Wildlife Association and had held several other jobs throughout his lifetime working for SpectorFreight Lines, Lee’s Tin Shop and Home Realty. He loved spending time fishing, hunting, cooking and working in the garden. Earlier in life Joe was an accomplished competitive skeet shooter. He was happiest shooting skeet and instructing others at the gun club.

He was preceded in death by his nine siblings.

He is survived by his daughters Elisa Bain (Jim) and Cara Vanhoy (Tim),granddaughter Hayley Vanhoy and friend Margaret Schultz and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Charlie Littlejohn. The service will also be streamed here: www.ladysfuneralhome.com/live. Interment will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Salisbury National Cemetery .

He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
