Mr. Joe Henry Morris, 55, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, at his home in Concord.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4:00 pm Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Morris was born March 20, 1971 in Concord. He was a son of the late Henry Alexander Morris and Edith Faye Barbee Freeman. Mr. Morris was a maintenance worker for Rinker Material in Harrisburg for 30 years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He rode them around the neighborhood many times on their golf cart. Watching them open their presents on Christmas morning was one of his greatest joys, making it his favorite holiday. He enjoyed rebuilding his cars and trucks. He had a great sense of humor, loved laughing, and dancing to his favorite music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Julian.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Patricia Renee Boyce Morris; four children, Brandon Morris and Miranda Shirah of Concord, Steven Morris and wife Kelly of Jonesville, Tiffaney Sokol and husband Stephen of Mooresville, and Maria Morris of Concord; three sisters, Vicky Morris Cook of Monroe, Teresa Morris Calloway and husband Gene of Kannapolis, and Sherry Smothers and husband Terry of China Grove; three brothers, Harold Morris of Kannapolis, David "Wayne" Barbee and wife Ann of Concord, and Bobby Morris of Kannapolis; and seven grandchildren, Luke, Layah, Revan, Aubree, Makenzie, Addisyn, and Rilynn.
