Mr. John Hall Brockbank, 64, of 600 East 10th Street, Kannapolis, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at his residence. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Lady's Funeral Hom Read Obituary

I was very sorry to hear of the loss of John. He was very near and dear to my heart and I will always remember all the "hard times" he gave me, just to get me going...he always knew how to push my buttons! And I loved him for it. I will always remember taking his picture with the Carolina Panther's cheerleaders! He acted like he didn't want to.....but we all knew better!
You are in my thoughts and prayers and know that if there is anything I can ever do for you, all you have to do it let me know. Time will help, but the truth is that knowing he is no longer in pain is the best possible remedy. We will all see him again one day and it will be a wonderful reunion!! Take care of yourself!!!

Char,I could write a book about the times John & I shared but other than the radio thing, and the golf cart rides when we would go out and pick up cig, butts(or one thing or another) he would always say don't forget to leave your cigarette butt on the ground so we can pick it up next time. He was a VERY SPECIAL person to me.I remember when he finaly told me about your cancer and we both sat in our office(the closet)and cried like babies,and when we were thru we both said at the same time(she's going to be alright)and you were.I loved him just the way he was and I LOVE YOU TOO.If you ever need me you know how to get in touch with me.thanks for the things you said to me I WILL ALWAYS cherish them. love Terri

Just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about the passing of Mr.Brockbank. It always inspired me to pull into the parking lot and see his truck sitting there. Knowing alot of the time he didn't feel good, he was always here with a smile on his face. May God give you and your family peace and comfort to help you deal with this difficult time. Thank you for sharing John with our Action / MA family all of these years. What a blessing to know that our paths crossed. I'll never forget his smile when we presented the American Cancer Society relay items to him (which we had to get his approval before we could produce them....). He inspired us all to help fight cancer and will continue to fight in his memory. Some may say he lost the battle, but he has actually WON the battle and is pain free and has no more suffering.
John- until we meet again, my friend.
