John "Jack" Dennis Cuff

Mr. John "Jack" Dennis Cuff, 78, of Galena Lane, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Cuff was born August 28, 1932 in Piermont, NY. He was a son of the late George A. Cuff and Viola Rehberger Cuff. He retired from the State of New York where he worked as a supervisor for the electrical facilities. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Korea. He served on the Dale Earnhardt Memorial Committee and was a graduate of Nyack High School. He also served on the Forest Ridge Homeowners Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Cuff and a sister, Julia Trowbridge. Mr. Cuff is survived by his wife, Nancy Lemke Cuff; two daughters, Colleen Goings and husband, Aaron of Wappengers Falls, NY and Sheila Sobaleski of Connecticut; three sons, John D. Cuff, Jr. and wife, Louise, Robert Cuff and Kevin Cuff, all of Connecticut; sister, Charlotte Cuff of Bainbridge Island, WA; brother, George Cuff and wife, Joan of Forestburgh, NY; and two twin grandsons, Phillip and Nicolaus Goings. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27317.
