John Corcoran Hughes

Mr. John Corcoran Hughes, 92, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 at his home.

A family memorial service will be held 9:00 am Friday, July 5, 2013, at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Montclaire, NJ.

John was born on April 12, 1921 in Belleville NJ. He was a son of the late Irvin Hughes and Ella Gaumer Hughes. He served his country during WWII in the US Marines. John retired as an electrical technician from Westinghouse. He resided in Simpsonville, SC for many years before moving to West Palm Beach, FL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Rowe Hughes; and sister, Ella Van Duyne.

John is survived by his three children, Susan Thompson and husband David of Kannapolis, Diane Hughes and life partner Sharon Hendee of Montclair, NJ and John Hughes and wife Barbara Chause of Williston,VT; two grandchildren, Sean Rielly and wife Dee of Greenville, SC and Jeffrey Rielly of Kannapolis; close friend, Ann Cole of West Palm Beach, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
