John Derrick Hyatt Sr.

John Derrick Hyatt, Sr., 60, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 pm Saturday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Hyatt was born on May 26, 1954 in Chester, SC. He was a son of the late John Billy Hyatt and Peggy Frye Hyatt. He was owner and operator of Ensco Electrical of Charlotte.

Mr. Hyatt is survived by his four sons, Joshua Derrick Hyatt and wife, Kelly, of Mooresville, Jeremy Lee Hyatt and Joel Alan Hyatt, both of Huntersville and John Derrick Hyatt, Jr. and wife, Brandy, of Virginia Beach, VA; long life companion, Tana Petty Moody; sister, Angela Hyatt Barry and husband, Brian, of Mint Hill; brother, Billy Dean Hyatt and wife, Melinda, of Concord; and six grandchildren.
