John Richard Weese, Jr.

Mr. John Richard Weese, Jr., 49, of 915 Laura Avenue, Kannapolis, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Willie Rash will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of a sister, Sherie Evick, 408 Jackson Street, Kannapolis. Born December 28, 1957, in Elkins, West Virginia, he was the son of Doris Alkire Weese and the late John Richard Weese. He worked as a paint and body-man for race cars and Legend cars. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a great-nephew, Nicholas Evick. Survivors include his mother, Doris Alkire Weese of Kannapolis; two sisters, Sherie W. Evick and husband, Robert, of Kannapolis, Joyce Hinchman and husband, David, of Newton Falls, OH; four nephews; one niece; and three great-nephews.
