Johnie Sue Martin

Johnie Sue Martin, 65, of Concord, died Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital, Main in Charlotte. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Quesenberry officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Ms. Martin was born March 17, 1943, a daughter of the late Floyd Wood and Beatrice Decker Wood. She retired as a supervisor for a hosiery mill. Survivors include her husband, Gene H. Tyree; two sons, Joseph Martin, Sr. and wife Kelly of Kannapolis, James W. Martin, Jr. and wife Sherry of Concord; a brother, Grady Hillard Wood and wife Geraldine of Kannapolis; and two grandchildren, Mary Floyd Martin and Joseph Randall Martin, Jr.
