Johnnie Donnell "John" Brackin

Johnnie “John” Donnell Brackin, 69, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 1, 2014, at the Salisbury National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Brackin was born on July 4 1945 in Georgia. He was a son of the late Odell Brackin and Sally Sheifield Brackin. He served in the US Army for seventeen years in Vietnam, Germany and Korea. Mr. Brackin worked as a facilities maintenance manager for an apartment complex. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and being with his family.

Mr. Brackin is survived by his wife, Judith “Judy” Flickenger Brackin; four daughters, Deborah Coyle and husband, Daniel, of Delware, Patricia Harp and husband, Paul of Texas, Dwana Brackin Hyatt of Texas and Lysa Anderson of Montana; son, Ed Hasson, III and wife, Michele of New Jersey; two sisters, Margaret Smith and husband, Tommie, of Georgia and Robin Facen of Florida; two brothers, Walter Brackin and wife, Judy and David Brackin and wife Carleen, both of Georgia; twenty-four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
