Johnnie Franklin Menius

Mr. Johnnie Franklin Menius, 87, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 25, 2013, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Friday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Menius was born on February 4, 1926 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Thomas L. Menius and Mary Elizabeth Strube Menius. He was a carpenter, truck driver for Akers Motor Line and worked at Cannon Mills.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vertie Lee Linker Menius; and daughter, Brenda Sue Menius.

Mr. Menius is survived by daughter, Judy Ann Miller and husband Kim of Boone; and three sisters, Ruth Kerley, Maude Rumple and Mary Godfrey, all of Kannapolis.
