Johnny Clayton Gatton, Jr.

Mr. Johnny Clayton Gatton, Jr., 65, of Twin Oaks Circle, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at his residence. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at the National Cemetery in Salisbury. Mr. Gatton was born September 22, 1945 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Johnny Clayton Gatton and Sybil Gaskill Gatton. He worked as a taxi driver and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. Mr. Gatton is survived by three sisters, Ann Daniel and husband, Ron of Kannapolis, Jean Squires of Edenton and Janet Greene of Bessemer City; two brothers, Phil Gatton and wife, Rhonda and Ben Gatton and wife, Dorothy, both of Kannapolis; and special friend, Johnny James of Locust and many other friends.
