Johnny Mack Webb, 71, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015, at Carolinas Healthcare System-NorthEast in Concord.
A memorial service is scheduled for 6:00 pm Thursday, October 15, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Barnhill will officiate. Interment will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:00 pm Thursday at Lady’s Funeral Home.
Mr. Webb was born July 13, 1944 in Concord. He was the son of the late William Herman Webb and Betty Morgan Webb. He is retired a surveyor, having worked for the city of Roanoke Rapids, Virginia. He is also a graduate of the Class of 1962 at A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis. He was active in the Boosters Club at the high school, where he stills holds the record for most points scored in basketball. Following high school, he attended Wingate College.
Mr. Webb is survived by his daughter, Becky Webb Flores of Kannapolis; sister, Dyanne Webb Helbert; three grandchildren, Laura Byrd, Cristina Gonzalez and Isaac Flores; two great-grandchildren, Mia Flores and Cohen Byrd; niece, Karla Helbert and a great niece, Lula Fueglein.
