Johnsie Elizabeth Christy

Miss Johnsie Elizabeth Christy, 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, October 19, 2009. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 24, 2009, at The Universal House of Prayer, 2999 Eva Drive in Concord, NC. Rev. Randy Lefler will officiate. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 pm Saturday prior to the ceremony at the church. Miss Christy was born December 7, 1944 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Zeb Boyd Christy and Virginia Robinson Christy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Hawkins and Mable Brattain; and one brother, James Christy. Miss Christy is survived by her daughter, Karen Christy of Concord; two sisters, Donnie Lefler of Kannapolis and Cathy Harrington of Concord; three brothers, Zeb Boyd Christy, Jr. of Albemarle, Larry Christy of Gold Hill, and Billy Christy of Concord; her granddaughter, Jennifer Wagoner of Midland and her fianc , Matthew Love and his daughter, Emma Love; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
