Josephine Williams

Mrs. Josephine Gaskill Williams of New Bern passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Big Elm Nursing Home in Kannapolis. A funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel in Alliance. Interment will follow immediately in Hollywood Cemetery in New Bern. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:00 pm prior to the service at Bryant Funeral Home. She was born in Bayboro and was the daughter of the late Noah Gaskill and Hattie Ireland Gaskill. Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, John Williams and wife, Patty of China Grove; daughter, Nancy Williams Pittman and husband Tom of Hickory; sister, Elizabeth Cummings of Bayboro; and three grandchildren, Candace Williams, Mallory Garnes and husband Joey and Andrea Pittman Hildebrand and husband, Curtis. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested making memorial contributions to a cancer society of one�s choice.
