Joyce Hartis Heidrich

December 15, 1940 — March 25, 2005

Mrs. Joyce Hartis Heidrich, 64, of 154 Huntington Lane, Mooresville, went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 25, 2005, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, following a short courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church in Kannapolis. Dr. Terry Moore and the Rev. Karen Kaser-Odor will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. At other times they will be at the home of her sister, Irene Childers, 4900 Hilton Lake Road, Kannapolis. Born December 15, 1940 in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Jefferson Hartis and Thelma Walter Hartis. She formerly worked for Central Motor Lines and retired from Florida Steel Drum Company in Charlotte. She was a member of Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church and an associate member of Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church in Mooresville. Members of her circle will be seated in an honorary group at the service. Survivors include her husband, William L. Heidrich; two sons, Tom Overcash and his wife, Lisa, of Durham, and Tim Overcash of Concord; a sister, Irene Childers and her husband, Haskel, of Kannapolis; a brother, Norman Hartis and his wife, Graye, of Asheboro; and four granddaughters, Casey Overcash, Corey Overcash, Candace Overcash and Camille Overcash. Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to thank Dr. David Eagle and the nursing staff at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, for their kind and compassionate care.
