Juan Jose Cervera

Mr. Juan Jose "Selin" Cervera, 75, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015, at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation in Mooresville.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, September 18, 2015, at Northlake Memorial Gardens, 11001 Alexandriana Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. Father John Putnam will officiate.

The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Cervera was born June 20, 1940 in Camaeuey, Cuba. He was the son of the late Juan Jose Cervera and Josefina de la Sierra Cervera. He enjoyed traveling all over the country side and loved NASCAR racing. He retired from AT&T as a telecommunications engineer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rafael Cervera.

Mr. Cervera is survived by his wife, Julia Rodriguez Cervera; two daughters, Lourdes Hopkins, and husband, David, of Charlotte, Gretchen Sanchez, and husband, Juan, of Cornelius; one sister, Rosa Maria Canton of Miami, FL; two granddaughters, Emma Marie Sanchez and Mia Grace Sanchez.
