Mrs. Judith "Judy" Maria Stevens Stafford, 70, passed away peacefully at her residence Wednesday morning, May 5th, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
The family will be planning "A Celebration of Life" service later and will notify all family and friends at a later date.
Mrs. Stafford was born in Washington, DC on August 31, 1950. She was a daughter of the late Edward J. Stevens and Lilias Keim Stephens. She spent all of her childhood and early adult life in Annapolis, MD and attended Annapolis High School. After high school, she moved to Melbourne, FL where she lived until 1984. She moved in 1984 with her loving daughters to Mt. Pleasant, NC, where her parents lived. She met her husband, Mr. Steve Stafford in 1994 and was married on September 12th, 1998 and lived in Kannapolis until her passing. She loved animals and worked in the veterinary service and pet sitting as her career.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward J. Stevens; her mother, Lilias K. Stevens and her sister, Sheryl S. Blaher.
Mrs. Stafford is survived by her husband, Steve Stafford; two daughters, Kim Stirewalt and husband Jason of China Grove and Kristinna Glover of Concord. She is also survived by granddaughter, Shelby Stirewalt and grandson, Blay Stirewalt of China Grove and grandson, River Coley of Mt. Pleasant.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association - Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Rd STE 250, Charlotte, NC 28209 in memory of Mrs. Stafford.
