Kathryn Ruth Mccall

Mrs. Kathryn “Ruth” Goins McCall, 96, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015, at Big Elm Retirement Center in Kannapolis.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, May 25, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Scott Wheeler will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at Lady's Funeral Home.

The burial will be at a later date at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Mrs. McCall was born May 15, 1919 in Concord. She was a daughter of the late Vol Goins and Annie Mae Faulkenberry Goins.

Mrs. McCall is survived by her daughter, Brenda Harrington, and husband, Gerald, of Eden; sister, Sarah Hamn, of Kannapolis; two brothers, Conard and Harold Goins, both of Kannapolis; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy McCall, and several brothers and sisters.
