Kathryn Spry

Mrs. Kathryn Bowers Spry, 79, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at her home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church. Rev. Jimmy Barnhill will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Spry was born July 6, 1932 in Blairsville, GA. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Lee Bowers and Laura Ann Cavender Bowers. She was a graduate of J.W. Cannon High School. She taught cosmetology at the former Kannapolis Beauty School and was a cosmetician for former Eckerd's location at the Carolina Mall in Concord.

Mrs. Spry is survived by her husband, Billy Spry; daughter, Lori Nall Rhinehardt and husband Jimmy of Kannapolis; son, Darwin Nall of Charlotte; sister, Ruth B. Saul of Carrollton, GA; brother, Frank Bowers of Kannapolis; three step-children, Dennis, Robert and David Spry, all of Kannapolis; grandson, Seth Taylor of Concord; three step-grandchildren, Terry and Shane Spry and Jenny Reynolds, all of Kannapolis.
