Kathryne Jordan Collins

Kathryne Jordan Collins, 74, of 6225 Turkey Road, Kannapolis, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Concord. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Silber will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home. Born December 21, 1935 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Locke Jordan and Lela Manila Bost Jordan. Mrs. Collins was employed for 49 years with the former Cannon Mills, where she worked in the washcloth department. She was a member of Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Allan R. Collins, Sr. of the home; a daughter, Kathy Franklin of Kannapolis; one son, Allan R. Collins, Jr. of China Grove; four grandchildren, Brandon Collins, Laurie Cook, Amanda Collins and Davina Franklin; three step-grandchildren, Steven McInnis, Elle McClellan and Andrew McClellan; and one great-grandchild, Chloe Cook.
