Kathy Overcash Greene

Kathy Overcash Greene, 59, of Chrysler Street, Kannapolis, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 15, 2009, at CMC-NorthEast. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2009, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 3:15 p.m. at the funeral home. Born October 15, 1949 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Robert B. Overcash and Hazel Lee Overcash. A lifelong resident of this area, she was self-employed in housecleaning and also worked for many years as a waitress at Western-Sizzlin. She loved her daughter and had a great love for her grandchildren and special pet, Kipper. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Richard Greene; daughter, Angela Walters Price and husband, Jimmy; granddaughters, Amber and Ivey Price; stepchildren, Joe Greene and wife Kathy, and their children, Cody and Carrie, April Greene and her children, Nikki and Jason; sister, Shirley Wensil of Kannapolis; brother, Jimmy Overcash of Kannapolis; many nieces, and a nephew.
