Katie Burkhart Allman

Mrs. Katie Burkhart Allman, 77, 0f 1404 Birch St., Kannapolis, died Thursday, September 21, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Chris Pethel will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Allman was born June 15, 1929, in Patrick County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Nettice Burkhart and Ethel New Burkhart and was raised by the W.T. Moss family. She was a homemaker and formerly employed in textiles. Survivors include her husband, Roy Lee Allman of the home; two sisters, Lena Waldroup and Alice Sloop, both of Kannapolis; and a brother, Ashby Moss of Kannapolis.
