Kay Johnson

Mrs. Kay Fowler Johnson, 73, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System - NorthEast in Concord.

A private graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, April 23, 2016, at West Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Jeff Upright will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

Mrs. Johnson was born October 2, 1942 in Concord, NC. She was a daughter of the late Sandy Clayton Fowler and Lizzie Pearson Fowler. She was a member of God’s Church of Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny K. Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of 56 years Eddie Ray Johnson, Sr.; son, Eddie Ray Johnson, Jr. and wife Geneth of Brandy Wine, MD; brother, Bobby Gene Fowler and wife Bonnie of Mooresville, NC; three sisters, Edna Bumgardner of Landis, Judy Leazer and husband Jerry and Shirley Stottman and husband Jerry, both of Mooresville; three granddaughters, Priscilla Herlocker and husband Dale Herlocker, Camille Evangelista and Jacie Johnson; two grandsons, Eddie Ray Johnson III and Jaden Johnson; two grandsons, Tyler Brown and Jase Marlow; and great-granddaughter, Kylie Herlocker “Kay’s Little Angel”, age 5.
