Kelly Teal Moss

Kelly Teal Moss, 44, of 2233 Kenwood Drive, Kannapolis, died unexpectedly at her home, Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2006, at West Point Baptist Church. The Rev. Rich Szekely will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at 1205 Birch Street, Kannapolis, the home of her beloved father, Roger Teal, whom Kelly spent many hours with each day. Born August 22, 1961, in Monroe, she was the daughter of Roger Kelly Teal of Kannapolis and the late Ethel Burr Teal. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Gail Teal; and a brother, Randy Thomas Teal. Kelly loved her husband Jeff dearly. She was a wonderful mother with unconditional love for all three of her children. Her grandson, Ethan Graham Ward, was God's special gift to her and the light of her life. Kelly was formerly employed with the Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City schools. Survivors in addition to her father, include her husband, Jeffery Scott Moss; daughter, Sarah Katherine "Katie" Moss of Kannapolis; sons, Christopher Scott Hamm of Kannapolis and Michael Kelly Hamm of Charlotte; a loving grandson, Ethan Graham Ward; a sister, Sarah Katherine Marsh and husband Donald Heath Marsh of Concord; two nieces, Melanie Tania Marsh and Melissa Marsh Harmston, both of Greensboro.
