Key Jennings Waggoner, Jr.

Mr. Key Jennings Waggoner, Jr. age 67, of Brookdale Street, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Tucker Hospice House. Funeral services for Mr. Waggoner will be conducted in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. The Rev Jimmy Barnhill will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Lady's Funeral Home prior to the service. Mr. Waggoner was born in Cabarrus County on September 1, 1943, a son of Margaret Thompson Huffman and the late Key Jennings Waggoner, Sr. He worked as an overseer for Cannon Mills for over 20 years and was also a finish carpenter and contractor. Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Sandra Fortson Waggoner, a son, Key Jennings Waggoner, III and wife Kenya Hubbard Waggoner, his daughter, Lisa Waggoner Roseman and husband Eddie, of Kannapolis; one sister, Virginia Rollings of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, Joshua Lee Waggoner and wife Laura, Anna Waggoner McCombs and husband Joshua, Alex McKinney, Kaila Roseman and Trey Roseman; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Logan McCombs.
