Mrs. Kristin Lynn Scott Chesher, 46, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017, at her residence due to a chronic illness.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wanda Floyd will officiate.

Mrs. Chesher was born August 2, 1970 in Rochester, NY. She was a daughter of Charles Elton Scott and Susan Jean Oliver Scott, both of Kannapolis. She earned her Associates in Nursing Degree from Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell, NM and was a Registered Nurse for many years. She was a member of Metropolitan Community Church in Charlotte.

In addition to her parents, Kristin is survived by her wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Lou Stout; daughter, Heather Susan Chesher of Indianapolis, IN; two sons, Hunter Fredrick Chesher of Spencer and Holden Scott Chesher and wife Cassandra of Camp Lejeune, NC; sister, Rebecca Scott-Fielden and husband Levi Boozer of Kannapolis; brother, Gregg Scott and wife Elane of Butler, IN; a number of nieces and nephews; and expectant grandmother to Kenneth Charles Chesher, due in August.

Memorials may be sent to her niece, Lexie Scott c/o Rebecca Scott, 6002 Turkey Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083 to help with funding for a Seizure Response Dog as Lexie suffers from epilepsy. Kristin’s passion was to support her niece, Lexie, by raising epilepsy awareness.
