So sorry to learn of Larry's passing Doris. Happened to come across the obit while looking up so old friends I served with in the Air Force. Many years have gone by since you worked in the Flight Supervisor's office there in Charlotte. Appreciated so much the fine job you did in that capacity. Losing Larry at such a young age had to be devastating. I pray through it all you have been able to gain comfort in precious memories and with God's grace and blessing able to carry on. God Bless!

Larry will be missed. Not by just his family, but by everyone who came into contact with him. As a coach, teacher, athletic director or ISS co-ordinator, he made an impact on their lives. I am a better person for having known him. I must admit, I was more than a little intimidated the first time I met him when he came to Mt. Pleasant. Underneath that tough exterior was a very caring man. Working and coaching with Larry for many years, I came to know a man of fun, intelligence and many different types of skills with many different types of people. I know as a family you will miss him. I, along with many others, will miss him too.

I met Larry when I was coaching football at Mt. Pleasant HS. Larry , Bobby Cloninger and I went to the Citadel for a football clinic. That was one of the best times of my life. Larry made the trip one to remember. He was my friend and I will miss him very much. He was such a pleasure to be around. I never met a person who knew him that did not like him. He was very special. I just want to express my condolences to you and to let you know that he really touched my life in the time that I was in the area. He will be missed by many people.
