Mr. Larry Edward Hartsell, 77, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Iredell Memorial in Statesville.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, March 23, 2026, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jon Harless will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Larry was born February 10, 1949 in Concord. He was a son of the late Edward Monroe Hartsell and Sara Jane Riley Yow. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He retired from Freightliner where he worked in the Paint and Body Shop. He was an avid classic car enthusiast and a former member of East Coast Cruisers Car Club. His greatest joy in life was his family and he gave to them and to others with a generous and open heart.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Tammy Fox (Darryl) of China Grove; sister, Linda H. Carroway (James) of New London; brother, Donald Hartsell (Debbie) of Denver, NC; three grandchildren, Danielle Holmes (Andre), Shayley Elwood and Deven Fox; and eight great grandchildren, Jaxon, Noah, Leo, Zealand, Samuel, Georgia, Carlisle and Savannah.
