I'm one of Larry's cousins, son of Christine Blackwelder, one of his Grandma's sisters ( Ruby ). We lived at opposite ends of the country for most of our lives and rarely saw each other, each with interesting very different careers. I do remember some good times, though- going shopping for antiques in Salisbury, spending several spellbound hours listening to his Dad's story of his campaign across Europe with General Patton ( a story never before told according to Larry ), touring the old Stirewalt farm with him, and most recently talking at length at Jim Stirewalt's 90th birthday celebration, when he told me how important his family had been to him. A good life, if a little short.
